Doctor Web launches testing of its — Dr.Web FlyTrap anti-spam software.
Dr.Web FlyTrap is an anti-spam solution for servers run under FreeBSD 5.x and 6.x, Linux Debian 3.1, RPM-based Linux glibc 2.2 and higher. The beta-version is available in English and in Russian.
Dr.Web FlyTrap communicates with Dr.Web MailD. Dr.Web FlyTrap can be connected with Dr.Web MailD using the flytrap plugin.
Dr.Web FlyTrap — can be trained or learn on its own to detect and block unwanted mail. The main objective of Dr.Web FlyTrap is to make share that the share of spam in a mailbox of a user is reduced to a minimum. The result is minimized irrelevant mail traffic in a protected network.
Basically the beta-version is meant to be tested by system administrators already using Dr.Web MailD. Register in the beta-testing section of our website
Dr.Web FlyTrap installation how-to
After you have obtained a password to access the Files section, do the following:
- Download and install maild (here)
- Download the plugin used for communication between maild and FlyTrap for your platform (e.g. here)
- Download FlyTrap for your OS (here).
- Install the plugin and FlyTrap following instruction found in the documentation.
